Jesmonite workshops in small groups, in our home studio in Ghent.
An intimate session
Our workshops take place in our home studio on the first floor in Ghent. To guarantee a homely atmosphere and personal guidance, we only work in small groups of 4 to 6 people.
A session lasts about 2.5 to 3 hours. Coffee, tea, a snack, all raw materials and your own creations are included.
During the workshop you choose from more than 30 different silicone moulds and make 2 to 3 design objects of your own. You can experiment with various casting techniques (terrazzo, marble, metal flakes, etc.). If you choose terrazzo, the process is a little more intensive and you usually make fewer pieces (1 to 2).
Creatief duo - Ouder & kind workshop
Samen ontdekken, mengen en gieten! Tijdens deze speciale duoworkshop ga je samen met je favoriete jonge creatieveling - of dat nu je (klein)kind, mete- of petekind, neefje of nichtje is - aan de slag met Jesmonite in ons gezellige thuisatelier op de eerste verdieping in Gent.
Omdat we werken in een klein groepje van maximaal 3 duo’s, is er volop rust, ruimte en persoonlijke begeleiding om er een ontspannen, verbindend en creatief moment van te maken.
- Duur: ca. 2 tot 2,5 uur
- Voor wie: 1 volwassene + 1 kind (vanaf 8 jaar) — ouder, grootouder, meter, peter, tante of oom met hun favoriete creatieve plus-één!
- Inclusief: Een drankje, een lekker hapje, alle materialen en jullie eigen unieke creaties om meteen mee naar huis te nemen!
Samen kiezen jullie uit onze favoriete mallen en gaan jullie aan de slag met vrolijke kleuren en technieken zoals marble of terrazzo. Elk duo maakt samen 2 tot 3 kleurrijke interieurobjecten — van vrolijke letters tot een tof schaaltje voor de kinderkamer.

Practical info & terms
Clothing
Wear clothes that can get dirty (we work with plaster and pigment). Aprons are also ready for you in the studio.
Finishing
Jesmonite sets quickly: your pieces are finished at the end of the workshop and you can take them home straight away.
Accessibility
Our studio in Ghent can only be reached by stairs; there is no lift.
Mobility and parking
- By bike: Bikes can be safely parked in the garden.
- By car: You can park on the street (Ghent yellow zone, paid) or covered at Parkeertoren Ledeberg (Hundelgemsesteenweg, about 400 metres / a 5-minute walk).
- Public transport: The nearest tram stop is Ledeberg Botermarkt, about 100 m / a 2-minute walk.
Age
You can take part on your own from the age of 16. Young people from 10 are very welcome when accompanied by an adult.
Cancellation policy
Unexpectedly unable to come? You can always pass your ticket on to a friend or family member. Cancelling or moving to another date is free up to 14 days before the workshop; after that we unfortunately cannot refund, because of the small group size.
